Other Journals with Special Interest in the Thought of Michael Polanyi

In addition to Tradition and Discovery: The Polanyi Society Periodical, there are two other journals with special interest in the thought of Michael Polanyi.

Polanyiana, The Periodical of the Michael Polanyi Liberal Philosophical Association, as its title suggests, is published by the Michael Polanyi Liberal Philosophical Association (MPLPA), centered in Hungary, Polanyi's country of origin. Polanyiana began publication in 1992; the MPLPA publishes some numbers in Hungarian and some in English. Contact Polanyiana directly at polanyi@filozofia.bme.hu, or write Professor Tihamér Margitay ( margitay@filozofia.bme.hu or FAX [36-1]-463-1181) of the MPLPA for additional information. Offices for MPLPA are at 1111 Budapest, Egry József utca 1. E. 610. The Library of Congress serials number for Polanyiana is ISSN 1215-6582. The volumes of Polanyiana with links to materials in each volume as well as other information about Polanyiana and the MPLPA are at http://www.polanyi.bme.hu/periodical/period.php?lang=en.

Appraisal: The Journal of the British Personalist Forum was launched in 1996 and is published twice a year (March and October), four issues constituting one volume. It takes a special but not exclusive interest in Michael Polanyi and most issues include one or more articles referring to him. Simon Smith is the current editor of Appraisal. Contact Richard T. Allen, Treasurer, Membership Secretary and Webmaster, for information about subscriptions (rt.allen@ntlworld.com or 20 Ulverscroft Road, Loughborough, Leics LE11 3PU, England). The Appraisal web site (britishpersonalistforum.org.uk) also has membership and publication information. The Library of Congress serials number for Appraisal is ISSN 1358-3336.
